Blue dress

The image of the blue dress first appeared in the artist's paintings as a reflection of a garment that had accompanied her for many years. Gradually it moved from one painting to another, becoming an image of lived experience — accumulated emotions, memories, identity. The dress becomes a second skin: a form through which a person recognises themselves, but which at some point they must outgrow.

Later this motif continued in a video work where the artist burns the real dress, turning the act of letting go into a ritual of liberation — as if shedding a second skin and leaving behind an earlier version of herself.
