Reserved with a 20% deposit; the work stays in the room, marked, until 1 October.
A heart the size of a hand, sewn bead by bead. The arteries lift off the surface and coil back on themselves; the rest stays flat against the wall, like an anatomical plate someone decided to embroider instead of print.
The act of threading comes from what was called women's work: domestic patience, labour that went unsigned. Applying it to an internal organ gives that gesture back the weight it was denied.
How it is made
Every bead is stitched individually. If the thread breaks, the piece comes apart.
